ABOUT MARIANIST TECHNICAL INSTITUTE-UKUNDA
Marianist Technical Institute-Ukunda is situated at the Mwalubemba area in Ukunda, Kwale County. It is located approximately 32 kilometers south of the port city of Mombasa.

The institution began training in July 2017 with its MISSION to be with the local community to build a faith-inspired process of improving the lives of the Ukunda community and its Environs through teaching youths technical skills and business knowledge and offering counseling and spiritual guidance. Its GOAL to assist youth find employment in both formal and informal sectors and hence lead a life of respect, dignity, and resourcefulness to themselves and the community they are serving. The institute holds the VISION to move youth from situations of dependency to increased economic value.

Hospitality and Catering Department

This department offers courses from Artisan, Craft, and Diploma level for one year. The department is well equipped to make sure the learners in this department carry out their practicals effectively.

Every Tuesday and Thursday its big day for practicals in the department where varieties of MENUs are done. The students invite the guests where they serve practically as the wider market in this industry awaits them.

The institution has a well well-equipped kitchen for training.The courses are examined by KNEC. All our trainees undertake a four months attachment in leading hospitality establishments. The school also offers outside catering services. Short courses offered include the following.

Motor vehicle mechanics Departments
This department offers Artisan, craft, and grade-I.II.III. The intakes are done in January and July every year. The course is examined by KNEC and NITA. The trainees are subjected to academic trips, county, and national exhibitions. After one year the trainees are attached in the industry for 4 months

Hairdressing, beauty therapy and massage Department

The Hairdressing and beauty department offers courses geared towards empowering trainees with both hair and beauty skills.

There are two intakes in this department of January and July every year. The courses take a six months in school and four months on attachment. The following courses are offered in the department
